Healthcare Support Worker
Activities Coordinator
Castlewood and Ranui, Alexandra
Part-time Permanent- 24 hours/ week, excluding weekends.
Across both homes for people at Residential, Hospital and dementia level care.

Make a difference in an older person's daily life working as an Activities Coordinator
The Role
As an Activities Coordinator, you will plan, lead, and oversee activities that promote residents' dignity, independence, and well-being, while ensuring they remain connected and engaged. By providing meaningful, personalized activities, you will enhance their quality of life and respect their unique identity. You will also lead and supervise a team of Activities Assistants and Volunteers, ensuring effective service delivery, and take responsibility for recruiting, supporting, and inspiring Volunteers to contribute positively to the residents' experiences.
Hours: This is a permanent part-time position. The hours of work will be 24 hours per week excluding weekends.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
Have exceptional planning and organizational skills
Have excellent interpersonal skills including relationship building and advocacy skills
Be energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and creative
Have a full driver’s license
Be empathetic and patient with elderly people.
A Diversional Therapy qualification or working towards one will be an added advantage
