Responsibilities
The Admin Assistant position will support the Office of Senator Jim Rosapepe and the Chief of Staff with administrative tasks serving as administrative assistant
The Admin Assistant will report to the Chief of Staff
This will be a remote position during the off-session months and a hybrid position when the Maryland General Assembly is in session
Manage email accounts:
Daily management of the Senate and other email accounts
The senate account will require the Admin Assitant to:
Check it daily and sort, organize, forward and respond to incoming emails
The 21st District Delegation account will require the Admin Assistant to:
Check it daily and sort, organize, forward and respond to incoming emails
Weekly management of the Jim.Rosapepe@gmail.com account
Initial clean up of acct
Check it weekly and sort, organize, and forward incoming emails
Manage emails and voice mail accounts from constituents daily:
Determine constituents' District
Manage the constituent spreadsheet and respond to the issues appropriate for your ability and knowledge base
Follow up with constituents to ensure solutions and progress are being made
Scheduling
Assist the Chief of Staff in scheduling meetings and managing the Senator’s calendar
Schedule meetings for the Senator as assigned by the Chief of Staff
Follow up and secure details for meetings as needed
Other duties as assigned
Assist the Chief of Staff in special projects as assigned
Reconcile monthly American Express statements and any reimbursements
Assist with aspects of senatorial scholarship distribution
Handle and coordinate active calendars
Schedule and confirm meetings
Ensure electronic file organization based on office protocol
Provide ad hoc support as needed

Admin Assistant Role for Senator Jim Rosapepe
The Admin Assistant position will support the Office of Senator Jim Rosapepe and the Chief of Staff with administrative tasks serving as administrative assistant. The Admin Assistant will report to the Chief of Staff. This will be a remote position during the off-session months and a hybrid position when the Maryland General Assembly is in session.
