Location: Davidson Funeral Home – Hickory Tree Location
Job Overview:
Davidson Funeral Home is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant for our Hickory Tree location. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting our team with day-to-day administrative tasks and supporting families during their time of need. We are looking for someone who can bring a high level of empathy, professionalism, and organizational skills to our team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with caring for families with compassion and understanding
• Prepare and file death certificates accurately
• Type obituaries and manage online postings
• Assist with the preparation and organization of funeral stationery
• Take and post payments, ensuring accurate financial records
• Perform various administrative tasks as required to support the daily operations of the funeral home
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a compassionate and professional manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and able to learn other software systems
• Prior administrative experience preferred, but not required
• Experience in the funeral industry is a plus, but not mandatory
