Your Opportunity at SECURE:
Join us as a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Apprentice, where you’ll gain hands-on experience maintaining and repairing a wide range of off-road equipment

This role is based out of Saskatoon SK.
The Team:
You'll learn from experienced professionals in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment and work toward becoming a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician
Work Environment:
This position is a full-time permanent role and is shop-based but will require time outside in the yard and potential trips to the field.
A Day in The Life:
As an apprentice, you’ll be mentored by skilled technicians. Your role will evolve as your skills grow, with opportunities to take on more responsibility. This role will assist in ensuring that all work in the shop is completed in a safe and timely fashion and that a clean, organized work site is maintained.


Preventive Maintenance & Repairs
Assist in scheduling, performing, and learning routine maintenance like oil and filter changes, inspections, and diagnostics on heavy trucks, trailers, and off-road machinery.


Hands-On Mechanical Skills
Air & hydraulic systems
Power & drive train mechanics
Steering and suspension systems
Heavy equipment attachments
One-off repair solutions and diagnostics

Shop & Yard Operations
Support general upkeep of the shop and yard, ensuring tools and equipment are properly handled and maintained in a clean, safe workspace.

Team Leadership Shadowing
Observe and learn how to lead and delegate workload effectively under the guidance of experienced supervisors.

Safety First
Be part of a team that lives and breathes safety. You’ll participate in safety meetings, site-specific training, and be mentored on all policies and best practices.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Registered Apprentice
A strong interest in heavy equipment or mechanical repair
Willingness to learn and work hard
A team player with a positive attitude and respect for safety
Comfortable working in shop and outdoor environments
Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate heavy equipment for testing and diagnostics
