Full job description
Purpose
To lead and oversee Dawson Housing’s asset management and compliance functions, ensuring all properties meet statutory, regulatory, and organisational standards. The role will drive strategic compliance initiatives, manage risk, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality housing for residents.
Responsibilities
Monitor and report on compliance performance to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board, ensuring alignment with the Consumer Standards and KPI’s.
Lead quarterly reviews of strategic and operational risks, implementing mitigating actions.
Assist the CEO/HOO with duties when necessary.
Support with the continuous updating of internal systems.
Line manage Compliance Officers and support their personal development.
Attend Board & management meeting to present reports.
Oversee the maintenance and improvement of property portfolios, ensuring voids are minimised and properties meet safety standards in line with cons.
Manage budgets for compliance renewals, maintenance works, and contractor approvals.
Maintain a panel of approved contractors, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
Collaborate with the Resident Engagement to resolve compliance-related resident concerns (e.g., ASB, repairs).
Stay abreast of legislative changes and industry best practices, embedding these into organisational processes.
Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and resident-focused service delivery.
Liaise with Local Authorities, Managing Agents, and contractors to ensure SLA adherence and timely resolution of issues.
Act as the designated health & safety lead for Dawson Housing.
Person Specification
Professional qualification within social housing or relevant experience is desirable.
Health & Safety qualification
Experience working within compliance focused roles.
Knowledge of the social housing regulatory framework and experience of delivering against these.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent project management and organisational skills
Confident analysing data and writing reports.
Good numeracy and literally skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and build good working relationships with external stakeholders.
Able to prioritise workload and management competing priorities.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
