Job Title: Analyst – Category Management
Location: Ahmedabad (Work from Office, No Remote)
Experience: 3 – 6 Years
CTC: 18 – 24 LPA (including 20% variable)
GBS Analyst – Category Management
We are seeking seasoned Analysts for Commercial and Category Management with over 3+ years of experience to spearhead our strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in planogramming, omni-channel sales, trade optimization, and have hands-on experience with first- and third-party data analytics. Proficiency in PDA is considered a significant advantage for this role.
Requirements
Project Execution:
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive commercial and category management strategies aligned with organizational goals and market trends.
• Category Optimization: Lead the optimization of product categories through effective assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
• Planogramming: Utilize advanced planogramming techniques to maximize product visibility, enhance customer experience, and drive sales across various channels. Experience with tools like Hoffrogge, JDA/Blue Yonder, Nexgen and Spaceman Pro is a plus
• Omni-Channel Sales: Drive sales growth by developing and implementing omni-channel sales strategies that integrate online and offline channels seamlessly.
• Trade Optimization: Optimize trade spend effectiveness by analyzing promotional ROI, negotiating favorable terms with trade partners, and implementing trade promotion management solutions.
• Third party data Analytics: Leverage Nielsen, IRI, Numerator data analytics tools amongst others to gain actionable insights into market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decision-making.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment and execution of commercial and category management strategies.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Communication:
• Responsible for all project communications to leadership, the stakeholder community, and project team
• Proactively understands how and when to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of progressive experience in commercial operations, category management, or related roles within the retail industry
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Proven track record of success in planogramming, omni-channel sales, and trade optimization.
• Extensive experience with Nielsen data analytics tools and familiarity with PDA software is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinkers with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify growth opportunities, and drive business results.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving common objectives.
• Flexibility to adjust to new demands with a sense of urgency. Must have the ability to embrace a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with rapid change
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with global teams while maintaining focus on outcomes and/or removing barriers.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, problem solving skills and attention to details.
• A team player with energy and enthusiasm to motivate and engage others
• Highly proficient PC skills (specifically MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook required)
• Experienced within Food/Beverage Industry and/or Global Business Services (GBS) organizations is a bonus!
