A little about the role
Reporting to the State Director Western Australia, the Assistant Director-Support will provide flexible, effective and strategically planned high level business support services in line with statutory and agency requirements and Key Assets vision and values. You will also deputise externally and within KAA (WA) for the State Director, as required.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
To work with the WA Management Team to formulate strategy, develop and deliver services in line with the business plan
Development of statewide services and initiatives, ensuring that a professional supportive and high-quality service is consistently delivered to the Department of Communities, carers, children, young people and their families.
Line manage and support for the Business Support Manager, Recruitment and Panel Manager, Quality Practice Lead, Cultural Practice Lead and any other staff as required.
Support the development of culturally sensitive practice and cultural awareness in respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and CaLD children and young people, and their families.
Adhere to all risk management processes as required by the company, ensuring the necessary Risk Assessments are completed in line with KAA polices and procedures.
Participation in the recruitment and selection of staff in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
The base salary commences at $136,116.00/annum for this position, (based on 1.0FTE) + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,+00 per annum. This position is a Full-Time ongoing position based at either our Stirling or Rockingham office.
About you
The successful candidate will come with:
A recognised qualification in Social Work or other relevant qualification.
At least 5 years’ experience of Out of Home Care or community services at a management level.
A comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to statutory children’s services.
Demonstrable experience of managing a budget.
Ability to communicate at all levels, influence, engage, negotiate, mediate and build effective relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
