Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to assist lead front of house operations and foster Republic Economica to reach its full potential!
Responsibilities and Duties:
Promote and maintain a consistent and high-quality standard of customer service
Proactivley lead, train and motivate front-of-house team
Maintain high knowledge of venue food, beverages, food, specials, events and functions
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Ensure compliance with sanitation and RSA and safety regulations
Build rapport with guests, suppliers, venue team and other departments
Facilitate staff training
Assist recruit and onboard staff
Identify customers needs and respond proactively to all their concerns
Make beverages, including cocktails and coffee
Venue open/close. Includes cash up, balancing variances, final checks over venue close and locking up
Ensure team complete checklsits and procedures
Work closely with the kitchen staff members regarding the quality and the aesthetic of the food, replaying customer feedback to kitchen team
Attend meetings when required
The Successful Candidate:
You must demonstrate proven experience in hospitality and enjoyment in engaging with customers, enhancing experience and expectations. The successful candidate will have:
An entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure, and maintain smooth operations during busy hours
A leadership style that is supportive, positive, authentic, engaging, and strategic
Ability to train staff and deliver feedback effectively, drive teamwork
Strong work ethic, excellent communication, organisational, delegation and conflict resolution skills
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, Deputy, Lightspeed, Opentable, Me n U)
