Job Details:

SUMMARY:
• Responsible for daily plant accounting functions.
• Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks, set priorities, evaluate results, and work independently and with a diversified group.
• Includes verifying and checking documents for reasonableness.
• Requires interaction with supervisors and other plant management in relation to daily yield reporting and weekly yields.
• This list is not all-inclusive and there may be other duties as assigned.
• Applicant will be expected to cross-train in all areas of the office to provide vacation and sick coverage.
• All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to personal safety and food safety.

Requirements:

Education:
• High School diploma, GED or Equivalent.
• Higher education in the Accounting field is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics, grammar, office equipment, and business practices required.

Experience:
• 3+ years of general office experience preferred.

Computer Skills:
• Basic computer skills.
• Microsoft Office and Excel experience required.
• SAP and Tyson1 experience a plus.

Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials.

Special Skills:
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in teams.

Position-Specific Requirements:
• Candidates who are currently working for Tyson Foods will be considered for this position first.
• If none of those Team Members are selected, then external candidates will be considered.
• Internal Candidates must have no more than a minimum attendance level of less than 6 points and must not have received a written warning within the last 6 months.
• The Candidate selected for this position must be able to work extended hours as required per management.

Preference given to internal qualified candidates currently employed at this facility followed by candidates from other Tyson facilities then external candidates.
