The successful candidate will be a recent university graduate looking to be mentored by experienced faculty and will help shape the growth of our School for the 2025/2026 academic year. The successful candidates will be fully involved in the life of the school, and manage a range of duties that may include teaching, covering classes for absent teachers, assisting learners in our Learning Strategies Department and participating in our co-curricular programs. This is a one (1) year contract. This position will commence late August 2025.


Responsibilities:

Stepping into various teaching roles when teachers are absent
Supporting students’ in class learning
Providing students an educational experience designed to inspire and challenge students to discover the best of who they are and to achieve their full potential
Participating in faculty and department meetings and activities
Establishing good relationships with teachers, staff and parents across the school community
Being an active and positive participant in the extracurricular and community life of the school
Commitment to strong student/teacher relationships

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree and Ontario College of Teachers certification
Montessori Teacher Training an asset
The ability to instruct in a laptop environment
A proven ability to collaborate and contribute as a team player
Demonstrate professional approach and work ethic
A commitment to the highest standards of teaching
Commitment to strong student/teacher relationships
Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in a technologically rich school environment, and skills in Google Applications are considered an asset
A current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Record Check
Current Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED
