Backman Vidcom would like to present the following full-time, permanent opportunity for an inside Sales Representative for commercial audio visual solutions in Halifax. Backman Vidcom, headquartered in Halifax, is the established market leader for commercial audiovisual integration sales & services.
About the Role:
Backman Vidcom's Inside Sales Representative supports existing clients with top tier service and response to requests for audiovisual solutions.
This is a sales role that works well with our full sales team supporting opportunities. It takes multiple teammates to ensure a project is well executed and delivers an exceptional experience for our clients.

About You:
You are an experience technical sales person with inside technical sales experience and a proven track record of success. What does "success" mean? It means you know how to quickly build meaningful and lasting relationships with our clients, potential clients, industry influencers and your co-workers. You are able to demonstrate or explain product functionality to clients, and have a working knowledge of general audio-visual equipment options. You possess great communication skills. Your are extremely well organized and responsive. Your proposals are accurate and delivered in a timely manner. you have excellent written and verbal skills. You enjoy writing clearly and articulately. You will respond to requests for quotes from clients, co-workers and tenders.
Making your clients happy gives you a deep sense of satisfaction. You love your customers and provide them with unmatched service.
You listen to understand what solutions are the best fit for each customer. You use your exceptional ability to gather important information from clients through effective listening and questioning skills.

Job Responsibilities:
Respond to requests for quotes from clients, potential targets, RFP's and Tenders along with supporting the rest of the sales team.
Network with Backman Vidcom team to engage existing clients and prospects.
Work closely with our AV Sales Engineers and AV Installation teams to provide solutions
Increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; building personal networks; activity involved in professional organizations.
Build and leverage relationships with suppliers and other preferred partners, in order to leverage their resources and solutions and provide for an optimal customer experience.
Understand and promote Backman Vidcom processes from customer quotation through order fulfillment to successful receipt of customer invoice payment for products and services delivered.
Practice good organizational skills. This includes staying on top of leads and proposals. Responsible for producing and editing monthly sales forecast.
Qualifications / Skills & Abilities:
Experience writing scopes of work, quoting prices, registering deals
Experience in technical integration. AV / security / videoconferencing / IT / Network sales preferred
Excellent presentation and communications skills.
Understanding of technology trends and solutions.
Strong organizational skills, including lead management, follow up and timeliness.
Team player, collaborative and respectful of colleagues and company resources
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative environment.
