We are now looking for an Automation Engineer to join our growing team ideally with exposure to the water industry, with broad experience in a range of control system brands and products.
About the Role:
Reporting into the Team Manager and playing a critical role to our success, your responsibilities will include:
Day-to-day technical delivery across multiple projects ranging from longer term greenfield projects to modernisation and/or refurbishment of Brownfield facilities.
Hands on involvement with initial scoping & requirements gathering, review of engineering specifications, detailed design and programming through to testing and commissioning stages.
Problem solving and troubleshooting across the entire life cycle of the project, ensuring a timely and structured approach used for issue resolution.
Applying sound technical knowledge of control systems and technologies across a range of clients and industry portfolios.
Working collaboratively within dynamic multi-disciplinary project teams, involvement in progress meetings and client interactions.
Assisting in business development activities as required, involvement in proposal writing and tendor submissions with clients.
Ongoing training and development including a mixture of practical & theoritical in-house and external training programs.
About You:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field, this can be Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or other engineering backgrounds.
You will have a hands on and collaborative nature, with proven experience in delivering automation projects in a timely manner.
You will ideally have solid programing experience in various PLCs and SCADA technologies. Experience also with HMIs, DCS, RTUs and other automation technologies will be highly regarded.
Experience with a broad array of control system brands and products such as; Siemens, Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Schneider, Honeywell, Beckhoff and others.
Experience with PCS7 will be highly regarded.
You will have proven experience in a highly regulated or high-risk industry; water/utilities, oil & gas, pharmaceutical or FMCG environments.
Engineering Consultancy experience will be highly regarded, but not essential.
You must be an effective and influential communicator, with proven skills dealing directly with clients on project requirements and specifications.
