ABOUT LIVING GREENS

Living Greens is India’s first Urban Organic Farming Company, established in 2013 with a vision of enabling

urban citizens to grow and consume fresh organic vegetables and fruits, to improve nutrition and health.

We also design and install Indoor/Outdoor Green Walls and Living Billboards for office buildings, hotels,

hospitals, colleges, airports etc, that improve air quality, create a pleasant environment, and are aesthetically

pleasing and stress-reducing. Urban farming can also be one of the most effective ways to address climate

change, urban heat island effects and air and noise pollution.

The company has served over 2,500 customers across 27 cities in India and has covered over 200,000 square

feet of rooftop space under organic farming.

We are now strengthening our sales team, setting up a national retail and distribution network, improving our

technology to deliver 3x performance, and exploring new business models to expand urban agriculture and

green spaces. We are looking for energetic, intelligent, thoughtful and entrepreneurial team members who

share our excitement and passion for health and climate change. These team members will have an opportunity

to play key roles in building the business, and the right candidates can gain wide experience by working closely

with the Founder, Advisors and other key associates of the company.

THE ROLE:

Business Development and Sales Associate

 This role will have pan-India scope, while being headquartered in Pune.

 This role will cover all products of the company, but with a strong focus on Green Walls which need

specialized knowledge and efforts.

 Do market research and network to identify the right influencers including architects, landscaping

consultants, interior designers, PMC (Project Management Consultants), and potential customers

including real estate developers, owners of hotels, resorts, restaurants, showrooms, hospitals,

schools, colleges, corporate office parks etc.

 Reach out to these parties (online and direct) to build relationships.

 Prepare and make presentations to influencers and potential customers to understand their

requirements and educate them about our products.

 Create and share good quality and thoughtful proposals with prospects.

 Follow up with prospects to close the sale and get a purchase order.

 Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction, and get referrals to acquire new customers

 The candidate will also support other Business Activities of the company, such as:

- Identify and create new Channel Partners (Franchisees, Dealers, Commission Agents) across

Metros and Tier I cities in India.

- Identify overseas opportunities related to Urban Organic Farming and Green Buildings.

- Develop other strategic partnerships with agri-tech businesses, lifestyle retail stores and

specialized gardening stores and plant nurseries, media and marketing companies etc.

- Representing the company in Industry events, like exhibitions, seminars, conclaves etc.

As the company is growing and the sector is evolving rapidly, there is considerable opportunity to expand

scope of work and gain tremendous knowledge and experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 Must have a strong interest in sustainability, climate solutions, ecology, environment, health and wellbeing.

 Familiarity with software used by Architects/Interior Designers, like AUTOCAD, Google Sketch Up, 3D

views and walkthroughs etc.

 An “Owner” mindset—completely hands-on, willing to do whatever it takes to be successful and

ensure customer satisfaction.

 Excellent written and spoken communication skills to engage with customers, including General

Managers and business owners. Must be able to understand the customers’ needs and respond with

ideas and options.

 Very diligent and organized in out-reach and follow-up, managing the sales funnel and closing sales

deals.

 3-5 years B2B Sales and Business Development experience, of high value and high engagement

products in the target customer segments.

 Should be able to sell “conceptual” products that are not well understood by the customer.

 Able to use digital methods and platforms effectively to approach and communicate with customers,

but also have the ability to travel extensively as needed.

 A strong network to generate leads and referrals will be advantageous but is not necessary.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

 Depending on experience and capabilities, a fixed salary of Rs 40,000 – 60,000 per month
•  Sales Commission and Performance Bonus of 3-5% of sales generated
