The Business Development Manager for AusDiagnostics is responsible for driving sales by selling a range of innovative molecular diagnostics products through increasing AusDiagnostics brand awareness and providing education, technical information, and application support to customers. The primary objective of this role is to grow sales, maintain existing customer relationships and establish new business to meet corporate revenue objectives. The role will work closely with Sales, Service and Support teams to ensure high level customer service. The role is field based with extensive travel as well as occasional international travel.
Key Duties:
Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing and potential AusDiagnostics distributors.
Achieve defined financial objectives and growth targets.
Selling and promoting the AusDiagnostics portfolio within the defined territory which includes visiting end users and prospect customers with the distributor.
Customer mapping and creating strategies for growth.
Attending conferences and increasing brand awareness.
Liaise with Regulatory Teams to assist with In Vitro Diagnostic product registrations within the territory.
Preparing monthly sales reports and participating in regular strategy meetings with senior management.
Conducting business reviews with distribution network.
Opportunity Management through company CRM system.
Conducting regular competitor analysis across the field.
Due diligence and governance of distribution contracts.
Required Qualifications:
Tertiary level education, such as B.Sc. or equivalent
Minimum 3 -5 years or more experience within the clinical diagnostic industry in a sales related role with distribution management experience
Required Skills & Experience:
Ability to travel frequently throughout the region.
Strong customer service focus with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
A high level of business acumen.
A positive attitude with the drive and work ethic to meet targets.
Initiative and the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Excellent presentation skills.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Strong knowledge of CRM databases
