Job Description: Business Development Manager Hotels API

Department – Hotels

Reports to – Vice President Hotels & Holidays

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in the travel industry to identify and secure potential clients for our hotel API solution. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills, a robust network of senior decision-makers within the industry, and a proven track record of achieving acquisition and sales targets. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate closely with the business, product, and tech teams to ensure seamless and timely integration of the hotel API for clients, with client go-live being a critical KPI.

Responsibilities:

Client Identification and Acquisition:

- Research and identify potential clients who would benefit from our hotel API solution, focusing on both domestic and international markets.

- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients, leveraging industry connections and market insights.

Relationship Building and Networking:

- Establish and nurture strong relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders in the travel industry.

- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand and strengthen your professional network.

Sales and Negotiation:

- Present and demonstrate the value of our hotel API solution to potential clients, tailoring proposals to meet their specific needs.

- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure new business agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.

Performance Management:

- Independently drive performance to meet and exceed acquisition and sales targets.

- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives.

Market Insights and Strategy:

- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to inform business development strategies.

- Provide feedback to the product development team to ensure our solutions continue to meet market demands.

Collaboration and Integration:

- Work closely with business, product, and tech teams to ensure seamless and timely integration of the hotel API for clients.

- Oversee the client onboarding process and ensure all technical requirements are met for a smooth go-live.

- Serve as a liaison between the client and internal teams to address any issues or challenges during the integration process.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Travel Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred but not required.

2. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior-level executives.

3. Strong networking capabilities, with an established network of industry contacts.

4. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

5. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

6. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a business development or sales role within the travel industry.

7. Demonstrated success in a similar position, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios.

8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
