Te Tūranga /About the role:

We’re looking for a skilled and autonomous Carpenter to join our Maintenance team at Silver Fern Farms Finegand, one of New Zealand’s leading beef and lamb processing sites. This is a hands-on role, in a great team, where you’ll be working across a variety of maintenance and construction tasks to keep our site operating efficiently and safely.

Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities:

Carry out general carpentry work, including repairs, maintenance, and small projects.
Ensure all work meets health and safety standards and complies with site requirements.
Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to support operational needs.
Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and tidy condition.

You’ll be a practical, solutions-focused person who takes pride in quality workmanship. Ideally, you’ll bring:

Proven experience in carpentry or a relevant trade qualification.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Flexibility to adapt to a busy processing environment.
