CH Customer Service Representative

Reporting to the Sales Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for receiving, acknowledging, and processing all customer orders. This position will work closely with the warehouse, logistics, and accounting departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customers’ orders.
Responsibilities:
Process customer orders via email, phone, web portals
Respond to all emails and inquiries in a timely manner
Schedule appointments for drivers
Process US customs paperwork, including waybills and consolidating reports
Complete large volume of daily paperwork associated with transport
Notify customers of substitutions and shortages
Monitor revisions to customer orders and update systems accordingly
Proactively reach out to customers regarding upselling and cross-selling products, when applicable
Skills & Experience:
Efficient and accurate data entry skills
Highly detail oriented
Organized and able to prioritize tasks based on importance with the understanding of lead times on receiving information from other parties
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must use good judgment to identify and resolve problems on the job. When in difficulty refer problems to his/her supervisor for resolution.

Fridays is the busiest day in Sales as they need to process orders for Fri, Sat, and Sun and so as such, Fridays are not days usually approved for time off (on a single day request).
The Sales team is required to work some statutory holidays as the US does not observe all the same holidays as Canada and our customer base is predominantly in the US. Generally speaking, on these days, the Sales team tries to finish their work as soon as possible and leave early.
Qualifications and Educations Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years in an office environment accompanied with customer service and order entry experience
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
Knowledge with Sage accounting software is an asset
Excellent written and spoken English.
Experience in the food industry would be an asset.
