Job Opening: Chinese Interpreter – Engineering, Tooling & Manufacturing Communication

About SB eCommerce:
We’re a global manufacturer of tech accessories including phone cases, iPad sleeves, AirPods covers, and more — with production units across India, China, and the US. Our operations heavily involve collaboration with Chinese tooling vendors, print machinery suppliers, and engineering consultants. We’re now hiring a Chinese Interpreter with hands-on experience supporting engineering projects involving injection molding, digital printing, and tooling development.
🧩 Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the engineering communication bridge between Indian and Chinese teams — translating real-time discussions during tooling reviews, mold trials, printer setup, QA escalations, and production optimizations
• Translate highly technical concepts including DFM, BOMs, mold drawings, CAD comments, cycle time tuning, and SOP walkthroughs
• Liaise with Chinese suppliers via WeChat, video calls, emails, and site visits to ensure precision communication for sample approvals, design iterations, and equipment debugging
• Accompany Chinese engineers/technicians during on-ground installations or audits, and assist Indian engineers in articulating problems, changes, and decisions clearly
• Review and interpret technical documents (drawings, specs, machine manuals, color profiles, etc.) from Mandarin to English or Hindi
• Support cross-functional coordination between engineering, production, purchase, and vendor teams
• Assist with logistics discussions, pricing clarifications, and after-sales service escalation when dealing with China-based partners
✅ Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in technical interpretation within engineering or manufacturing companies
• Certification in Chinese language proficiency (HSK Level 4 or above, or equivalent) is mandatory
• Must have worked with or for Chinese companies operating in India like OPPO, VIVO, Xiaomi, TCL, Foxconn, etc., preferably in tooling, production, or equipment coordination roles
• Strong fluency in Mandarin (spoken + written) and English. Hindi is a bonus
• Comfortable with engineering vocabulary across injection molding, printing, electronics assembly, and QA workflows
• Experience using tools like WeChat, Google Translate (technical), CAD viewers, and collaboration platforms
• Clear communicator, calm under pressure, and strong presence on factory floors
• Willing to work full-time, on-site in Faridabad, and travel locally when needed
