Job Title: Civil Engineering Draftsperson
Location: The position will be based on the Northern Beaches and surrounding areas. Main work zone is from Kirribilli to Palm Beach. Some work in South Sydney and Interstate as required. This is a Full Time Position.
Reporting To: The Director, Civil and Structural Engineer, and the Management Consultant.
Qualifications & Requirements:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Draftsperson to join our dynamic team in Manly Vale. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans that will guide the design and construction of our bespoke inclined lift systems. This role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed drawings and plans for inclined lift systems, including site layouts, civil design layouts, structural details, and installation schematics.
· Collaborate with engineers to interpret project requirements and ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and Australian Standards and regulations.
· Review and revise drawings based on client feedback and project needs.
· Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications, reports, and technical manuals.
· Conduct site visits as required to gather data and ensure the accuracy of drawings.
· Work closely with the construction, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
· Diploma or degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a Draftsperson in the civil or construction industry for more than 5 years, preferably in the inclined lift industry.
· Proficiency in CAD software, including Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Minimum 5 years.
· Strong knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
· Understanding of civil, mechanical, fabrication, structural, and part manufacturing drawings.
· Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
· Strong communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and customers.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Salary
The right candidate will be offered a base salary of $ 75,000-$85,000 plus Super, with a review of salary each year to keep up with rates of inflation.
