The Analyat in Open Systems must work with the internal team to help maintain the quality of the product, increase the usage within the business and strive to improve the user experience in any way they can. Working in a busy team, the role requires a high level of technical competency and broad technology skills.
The role comprises the following areas of responsibility:
• Responsible for User and Access Management by handling the creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts, reset passwords, and manage user groups and permissions to ensure secure access control across the system.
• Responsible File and System Management by managing all aspects of file system operations including creating, renaming, copying, moving, and deleting files and directories, adjusting file permissions, and ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Responsible for System Performance and Monitor by overseeing and maintaining system health by monitoring performance metrics like CPU, memory, and disk usage, utilizing tools such as sar, top, and vmstat. Also manage system services and use monitoring solutions like Nagios and Dynatrace to detect and resolve system issues promptly.
• Responsible for Network and Security Management by configuring network interfaces, manage firewall rules, and test and troubleshoot network connectivity to maintain robust and secure network operations. Implement comprehensive security policies to safeguard system data.
• Responsible for Storage and File System Management by m anaging disk partitions, file systems, and Logical Volume Management (LVM) to optimize storage resources and ensure data is stored efficiently and securely.
• Responsible for Performance Monitoring and Maintenance by regularly analyzing system logs and performance data to identify and address potential issues. Manage OS upgrades and patching to keep the system up-to-date and running smoothly.
• Responsible for Backup and Resource Sharing by installing and configuring backup solutions like TSM and manage NFS and Samba shares for resource distribution. Ensure effective remediation of issues with system agents such as BigFix, Qualys, Puppet, and Splunk to maintain system integrity and compliance.
