Courts and Tribunals (CAT) is a division of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General. The division is made up of over 1,000 skilled and dedicated staff working across Queensland. These staff deliver a diverse range of frontline and support services designed to assist Queensland’s independent judiciary and tribunal members and promote quality outcomes for the community. The division is undergoing an exciting period of transformation. In this role you would be working closely with the Transition Lead and their team, as well as the Program Principal communication officer within the Courts and Tribunals Digitisation Program (CTDP).

This position is responsible for the development and execution of communication plans and materials that facilitate the smooth transition of projects within the program, and will support the program by raising awareness, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring timely communication of key milestones and changes to internal stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

Supporting the planning, scheduling, and execution of communication activities that align with the transition team's objectives and the overarching program communication strategy.
Collaborating closely with the Program Communications Officer to ensure that messaging across key projects is consistent and aligned with the program's overall communication plan.
Developing and disseminating targeted communication materials to internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity and engagement throughout the transition from current systems to new services and models.
Producing a variety of communication products, including briefing memos, targeted emails, newsletters, intranet content, presentations, and FAQs, tailored to meet the needs of the transition team and program stakeholders.
Creating and managing content for time-sensitive communication needs, such as speeches, newsletters, website updates, and other materials essential for maintaining engagement and awareness during the transition phase.
Reviewing, drafting, proofreading, and editing documents on behalf of the transition team, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to departmental standards.
Collaborating with the transition team to develop case studies that highlight the successes, stakeholder feedback, and lessons learned from the transition activities.
Partnering with the transition team to identify key messages, develop innovative communication strategies, and address stakeholder queries effectively.
Promoting the transition efforts, outcomes, and benefits, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and supportive of the changes being implemented.
Liaising with the Corporate Communications Services Branch (People and Engagement) to ensure that all communications conform to departmental standards and contribute to a cohesive communication strategy.
