Job description
Who are Team Teal?

Established in January 2018, Teal is passionate about compliance in legal services and has quickly

become one of the largest legal compliance consultancies in the UK and we’re not going to stop

looking to grow our business until our mission is complete – which is that firms have compliance

programmes which actually work, rather than just ticking boxes. Compliance is a serious business, it’s

a framework to protect clients, and the staff who work in professional services. As well as being

professional, a Team Teal person is friendly, approachable, commercially minded and can adapt their

approach so that it really fits what our clients need.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Compliance Analyst to join Team Teal in a dynamic and challenging environment

where your skills will be recognised and appreciated. We’re looking for a motivated and passionate

compliance professional who shares our values of honesty, commitment to teamwork, commercial

understanding and solutions-focused.

About the role

You’ll work alongside our Associate Team, supporting them with file reviewing, staff interviews and

policy drafting. The role is varied in terms of the types of firms we deal with, which range from sole

practitioners to large international firms, and in the work you’ll get involved with. The successful

candidate will already have experience of working in a risk & compliance team or you may have an

audit background. You may not necessarily have worked within a law firm but will be willing to learn

and understand the challenges in engaging people in compliance.

We’re headquartered in Manchester. This role will be primarily home-based and will include travel to

our clients’ offices as and when required, dependent on the work scope.

At Team Teal, we (and our clients) value commercial understanding. We're looking for individuals who

can think outside the box and are always looking for ways to improve and innovate and are committed

to doing things the right way, every time. If you have a thorough understanding how law firms work

and are able to identify opportunities, we want you on our team.

About our successful candidate

Our new Compliance Analyst will:

• Have incredible attention to detail

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Have at least 2 years’ experience of working in risk & compliance within a legal or other

professional services background

• Enjoy working independently, and within a team

• Be pragmatic and practical

• Have great IT skills

What we offer

Salary

£25,000-£35,000 p.a. dependent on experience.

Annual Leave

Holiday Entitlement - 21 days per year (increasing by one day per year of service up to a maximum of

28 days) plus bank holidays and:

Birthday Day – 1 day holiday on or around your birthday;

Christmas Closing – 3 days holiday when the office is closed for Christmas.

Social Events

Quarterly Strategy Days at our office.

Two staff social events per year in Manchester.

Volunteering opportunities.

Pension

Enrolment into the firm’s NEST Pension after 3 months.

More than anything we offer a supportive, honest and progressive environment and an opportunity

to help us build Team Teal as we expand in locations (including international) and sectors.

If you share our values and are interested in joining our team, please submit your application by

sending your CV to emmad@tealcompliance.com
