Position Summary:
We’re seeking a creative, highly visual Junior Content Creator to join our team for the summer. This role is perfect for students or recent graduates with strong graphic design and video production skills who are passionate about storytelling and digital communication. You’ll help create engaging, informative, and on-brand content across our platforms—from e-learning modules and social media campaigns to promotional videos and internal communications.
Position Eligibility (Canada Summer Jobs Program):
This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria as set by Service Canada:
Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Note: International students are not eligible under this program.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Design
Design engaging graphics, infographics, social media posts, and marketing collateral
Assist with video planning, filming, and editing for education, training, and promotional use
Develop visual assets for use in e-learning, presentations, and digital campaigns
Maintain consistent branding across all content pieces
Marketing & Education Support
Help create visual materials for events, trade shows, and digital advertising
Edit and assemble educational video modules for our training platform
Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical content into clear visual formats
Assist in maintaining our visual content library and asset folders
Creative Strategy & Team Collaboration
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and creative planning meetings
Stay up-to-date on design and video trends, suggesting ways to improve content delivery
Work closely with the marketing, education, and consulting teams to meet project goals
Support basic animation or motion graphics (if experienced)
Eligibility and Requirements:
To qualify for this position under the Canada Summer Jobs program, you must:
Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred
Be legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
Enrolled in or recently completed a post-secondary program in graphic design, media production, marketing, communications, or a related field
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign) or equivalent software
Experience with video filming, lighting, and editing workflows
Skilled in storytelling through visual content
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
Experience with Canva, Figma, or animation tools is an asset
French language skills are considered an asset
Contract Details:
Term: 8 weeks (May 12, 2025 – July 4, 2025)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Hourly Rate: TBD (based on funding and experience)
Extension: May be extended based on performance and company needs
