We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting Team. Reporting to our Corporate Controller, this role will support all accounting functions as it relates to this specific branch of our accounting department.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Oversee and maintain accurate books and records for corporate entities.
Manage intercompany advances and chargebacks across 100+ entities, ensuring accurate reconciliation for consolidation.
Maintain and update a comprehensive loan database, tracking balances, interest rates, and maturity dates while coordinating with the finance team on upcoming changes.
Monitor loan covenants and reporting requirements to ensure full compliance.
Conduct financial analysis at a consolidated level, including KPIs such as Debt service coverage, Company weighted average interest rates vs. project securitized lending rates, NOI of commercial vs. residential operations, PUD vs. IPP assets, and Fair value assessments.
Perform treasury functions, including reviewing weekly/monthly cash forecasts, preparing intercompany transfers and initiating wire payments and EFTs
Collaborate on the preparation of annual consolidated working papers and financial statements, providing direct involvement where needed.
Assist in the digital transformation or modernization of various accounting and financial reporting functions
Support assurance activities for over 30 audit, review and compilation engagements across the Westbank group
Qualifications
CPA designation with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Strong technical expertise in IFRS/ASPE, consolidation, foreign exchange, and real estate accounting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills for data manipulation and report generation.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Quick comprehension of accounting and legal technical concepts.
Analytical mindset with the ability to adapt to an evolving business landscape.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
