Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on the cost of project operations, preparing periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs, and advising the management team on cost optimization and efficiency
Develop and implement cost standards for materials and labor
Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals to share with the company management
Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings
Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts
Assess actual costs and prepare periodic reports comparing budget costs to actual production costs
Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Analyze audits of costs and prepare reports
Make estimates of new and proposed product costs
Review and analyze cost of goods sold and margin reports
Conducts physical inventories and monitors the cycle count program
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close
Work with the finance team on the month-end close coordination

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on the cost of project operations, preparing periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs, and advising the management team on cost optimization and efficiency.
