In this role, the Physician will assume primary responsibility as the admitting physician for the care and services rendered to Neurocritical Care patients admitted to the NCCU and will conduct daily multidisciplinary rounds in a 15 bed NCCU. The physician will join a group of three other Neurointensivists. In addition to having demonstrable core competencies in Neurology and Neurocritical Care, the ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic with excellent communication skills, the ability to work well within a highly collaborative team, proficiency to maintain excellent clinical documentation, an understanding of patient safety and high reliability in patient care. MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is the newest Comprehensive Stroke Center within the state of Maryland. Accordingly, the NCCU at MFSMC admits and manages a broad range of the highest acuity Neurocritical Care patients, in collaboration with our large group of Neurology and Neurosurgery colleagues. In addition, Neurointensivists at MFSMC will have access to research and teaching through collaboration with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, including a possible academic appointment at Georgetown.

Requirements:
• Board Eligible/Certified in Neurology
• Board Eligible/Certified in Neurocritical Care
• Superior training, background, clinical and interpersonal skills
• Sub-specialty training or experience in clinical neurophysiology or some other area would be desirable but is not mandatory
The hiring range for this position is between $405,000 - $425,000.
