This position presents a unique opportunity for a post-secondary student in Human Resources to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions. The successful candidate will support special projects, assist with administrative tasks, and help ensure the HR department operates smoothly and efficiently. Whether you are experienced or new to this field, your commitment to learning and growing with us will be key to your success in this role.

Expected Hours of Work: Monday to Friday +:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
File Transfer & Digitization: Assist with transferring and digitizing employee files to ensure a streamlined and organized electronic filing system.
Policy Revision: Support the HR team in revising and updating company policies and procedures as needed.
Administrative Support: Perform various administrative duties such as answering phones, directing calls, taking messages, and assisting with other tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.
Paperwork Processing: Process HR-related documents, including onboarding materials, termination forms, and leave requests. Maintain and update employee records (personal information, employment history, performance data).
Confidentiality: Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in handling employee data and sensitive HR-related information.
Office Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organized office environment to support a productive workplace.
Document Preparation & Distribution: Prepare and distribute HR-related documents as needed, ensuring proper record-keeping.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively manage employee records, documentation, and administrative tasks.
Good Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Essential for collaborating with employees, HR colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Computer Literacy: Proficient in using HR software and common computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, etc.).
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy required for data entry, record-keeping, and processing paperwork.
Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Basic Knowledge of HR Principles: Understanding of basic HR concepts, practices, and terminology is an asset.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be a post-secondary student enrolled in a Human Resources program.
Must be eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program.
