About the Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a motivated and hard-working person to work as a Data Manager for the Department of Clinical Genetics, Liverpool Hospital, which provides an outpatient clinical service to SWSLHD. The position requires a high level of computer literacy as well as excellent written and interpersonal skills.

You would be responsible for collecting, entering and managing patient related data using the NSW State-Wide Genetics database (Trakgene), as well as ensuring accuracy and integrity in data reporting.
The position also entails administrative duties to provide support to the Clinical Genetics team, including file management, purchasing and invoice payment. You will assist a team of Administrative Officers, Genetic Counsellors and Clinical Geneticists in delivering a quality clinical service.



What You'll be Doing
Responsible for collecting, entering and managing patient-related data using the NSW state-wide genetics database/patient management system called Trakgene. Provide clinical genetics file management, purchasing and invoice payment, as well as managing office duties.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.

Demonstrated experience working with databases in a health-related area
High level of computer literacy, including Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Publisher

Demonstrated ability to work in a team with excellent interpersonal skills and to be able to work independently
