Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and dental staff. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
Duties
Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the dental office and assist them with check-in procedures.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently using Dentrix software.
Handle patient inquiries via phone systems, email, or in-person, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.
Maintain patient records by updating electronic medical records with accurate information.
Process patient payments and handle insurance claims as necessary.
Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and welcoming for patients.
Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication throughout the office.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and inventory management of office supplies.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a medical office is preferred.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems; experience with Dentrix is a plus.
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
