1 in 3. That’s how many New Zealanders will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetimes. At the Cancer Society, we’re passionate about reducing the impact of cancer and believe in the power of digital content to connect with our community and drive our message forward.
We’re on the hunt for a creative and organised Digital Content Coordinator to join our National Office team on a fixed-term contract (up to 12 months). In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and optimising our digital content across various platforms to align with our strategic goals.
What a typical week will look like:
Developing engaging digital content for our website, social media, newsletters, and other marketing materials
Assisting in the creation and execution of a social media strategy, ensuring consistent and effective online engagement
Collaborating with the team to improve website functionality and user experience, ensuring content is current and accurate
Assisting in the creation of email campaigns, online advertisements, and other digital marketing materials
Working closely with graphic designers and other external parties to align digital content with broader campaigns and initiatives
What you'll bring to the role:
At least three years’ experience creating compelling and engaging digital content
Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail
Experience with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms and SEO best practices
Familiarity with emerging trends in digital marketing and content creation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
An understanding of and commitment to honouring the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
This is a full time, fixed term role, working 37.5 hours per week. We’re flexible on location, however you will need to be based from Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch. Not all content happens within the usual +-5 hours, so on occasion you might need to travel and/or work outside of the standard hours to capture and create!
Next Steps:
If you have a passion for all things digital and are committed to helping improve outcomes for people with cancer, we want to hear from you! Upload your CV and cover letter to Seek, and for any questions, reach out to admin@cancer.org.nz
