Position Summary
This 12-week part-time internship offers hands-on experience in digital marketing and search engine optimization (SEO). It is ideal for candidates with a foundational understanding of digital marketing and online search who are eager to develop practical skills in SEO, digital advertising, and online brand management.
Job Description
Assist keyword research and competitive analysis to improve search rankings.
E nsure data accuracy across online directories and business listings.
Support SEO audits for practice websites, identifying improvement areas.
Monitor and report on PPC and SEO performance metrics.
Update content for websites, following SEO best practices.
Research emerging trends in digital marketing and SEO to inform strategy.
Create internal documentation by editing and updating digital marketing SOPs.
Explore how AI tools can support marketing efforts.
Provide digital marketing support for corporate and field marketing projects.
Collect, organize, and analyze marketing research/data.
Attend Marketing and cross-departmental meetings.
Assist with company events, as needed.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in a two or four-year college program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Successful completion of introductory courses in digital marketing, communications, business, or equivalent.
Basic Qualifications
Working knowledge of basic marketing concepts and tools.
Basic understanding of SEO principles (keyword research, on-page SEO, local SEO best practices).
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools (e.g. SEMrush,Moz) is a plus.
Experience with content creation and optimization for websites, blogs, or social media.
Knowledge of basic paid advertising concepts (Google Ads, Meta Ads) is a plus.
Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
Familiar with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) and their role in digital marketing.
Strong writing skills, with understanding of SEO-friendly content and digital copywriting.
Highly professional, with strong work ethic and self-direction.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to manage multiple projects in deadline-driven environment.
Physical Requirements
Remain in a seated position at least 75% of the time.
Ability to navigate around the office to access file cabinets, supplies, office machinery, etc.
Ability to communicate with others via in-person verbal communication, as well as frequent emails and phone calls.
Ability to utilize a computer, keyboard and mouse when working.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs.
