Job description
Job Summary
The Elite Job is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage and process invoices, reconcile statements, and ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors. This is a remote position, offering flexibility while allowing you to contribute to the financial efficiency of a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

Process and review invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals.

Ensure timely and accurate payment processing, including checks, wire transfers, and electronic payments.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• *
Maintain vendor records, ensuring up-to-date payment terms and contact details.

Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• *
Respond to vendor inquiries and build strong supplier relationships.
• *
Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• *
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• *
Prepare and analyze reports related to accounts payable.

Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• *
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• *
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
• *
Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• *
Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information.

2+ years of experience in an accounts payable or finance-related role.

Experience working remotely is a plus.
