As Director, System Support and Development you will lead the management of Harm Prevention and Regulation's regulatory business systems and ICT projects.
Harm Prevention and Regulation (HPR) plays a vital role in setting, monitoring and enforcing regulatory standards across the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, Office of Fair Trading, Queensland Worker Screening Services and Regulatory Support Services.
System Support and Development provides IT and intelligence systems support for business applications within HPR, as well as ICT project development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the delivery of integrated enterprise-level technology services to ensure HPR systems support the department's strategic and operational objectives
Research, evaluate, develop and implement initiatives and strategies that promote better service delivery, provide solutions to problems, and contribute to government priorities
Manage the development and delivery of programs and projects for initiatives which improve the ability of the agency to conduct its business adhering to approved program and project methodologies and governance frameworks
Represent HPR by participating in and/or liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders at a strategic level.
Lead, supervise and coordinate resources in line with relevant legislation, policies and delegated authority, ensuring adherence to ethical decision-making principles and standards.
Promote an accountable, fair and safe work environment through the adoption of management practices, including workplace health and safety, workforce equity and diversity, anti-discrimination and performance management.
There are no mandatory qualifications required to undertake this role, however formal qualifications in Information and Communication Technology, Information Management, Project Management and/or Program Management would be highly regarded.
