*Our hybrid model requires this role to be in office 4 days a week with flexible working hours at our Bathurst/Lakeshore location.*
As Director of Strategy and Communications, you will lead the team responsible for shaping the business and internal communications strategy for President’s Choice Financial & Services (PCF&S). Working closely with senior stakeholders and management, you will continue to shape the future vision, key strategic pillars, and long-term capital investment roadmap of the business. As the leader of a dynamic and influential team, you will pivot seamlessly between strategy and execution to build momentum required to drive and deliver key strategic initiatives critical to the business. You will also oversee the communications function for the business including event planning and all President communications. You’ll operate comfortably with ambiguity, and proactively carve out a path for you and the team to drive to impact in all that you do.

What you’ll do

Build and implement PCF&S strategy, in partnership with key business stakeholders and management team, lead annual strategic planning and capital roadmap plan, including ongoing strategic updates to management team and PC Financial Board of Directors (Quarterly)
Build and own key processes related to ongoing capital prioritization and impact assessment
Proactively identify new opportunities for growth and associated financial and customer impact to further drive business strategy
Represent PC Financial at all enterprise interlocks, to ensure synergies are identified and actioned
Oversee internal communications for the PCF&S business including townhalls, meetings, newsletters, and all the President’s communications.
Does this sound like you?

Have a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy, strategic development, banking or management consulting (Ideally with a focus on financial services)
Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills; ability to lead a high performing and diverse team in a high paced environment
Experience building strategies that achieve a company’s short- and long-term objectives, establishing a clear mission, vision and objectives to achieve optimal results
Experience taking initiatives from strategic development to execution, including influencing their prioritization with stakeholders across the enterprise
Can think big picture but can be in the weeds and thoughtful about executing and operating the business when needed
Passionate about and inspired to disrupt the status quo, with experience working successfully in fast paced environments
Build trust and credibility easily. enjoy working cross-functionally
Have strong analytical and presentation skills and you are a fantastic written and oral communicator
