About The Role

This position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for preparing and sending the daily dispatch message. The dispatch includes each technician’s assigned jobs, route details, and key updates—delivered by 6:00 AM daily (ideally by 7:30 PM the day before). You'll work with calendars, tech tools, and spreadsheets to assign work efficiently across the city, optimize drive times, and support a busy field team with the information they need to succeed.

This key role is the behind-the-scenes engine that keeps our team aligned and running on schedule.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

Review daily bookings and assign them to technicians based on location and workload
Prepare and send the daily dispatch message to the team via Slack
Organize technician assignments alphabetically, including truck number, warehouse contact, job times, and customer names
Add special notes, gear requirements, and relevant updates for each technician
Ensure routes are efficient—aiming for logical travel flow and minimal drive time
Adjust schedules to accommodate time conflicts or optimization opportunities
Double-check daily calendar and company tools to ensure accurate and complete information
Communicate any changes or scheduling challenges to management promptly
Collaborate with operations and warehouse teams to ensure smooth execution
Your Skills and Qualifications

Must Have:

Knowledge of Calgary geography
Previous dispatching, logistics, or scheduling experience
Familiarity with route optimization and service scheduling
Legally able to work in Canada
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Able to work independently and meet early morning deadlines
Confident using scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and Google Calendar
Proven time management and task prioritization ability
Clear communicator—both in writing and verbally
Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems
Available to work in the evening (if preparing dispatch early) or by 6:00 AM daily
