About us | Mō mātou

Inland Revenue’s Marketing and Communications is made up of four teams: Marketing, Corporate Narrative, Internal Communications and Writing & Web Content Design.

The Marketing team helps educate New Zealanders on their tax obligations and entitlements.

We use data driven insights to run targeted campaigns. These influence customers to take positive actions towards their tax obligations.

We communicate informative content in fun and engaging ways and, in a typical week, answer hundreds of general tax and entitlement questions on our social media channels.


About the role | Mō te tūnga

Reporting to the Domain Lead – Marketing you will actively contribute to the Marketing team by assisting on, and leading, marketing campaigns across a range of channels. You will also support customers by responding to comments on our social media channels. You will be encouraged to share your ideas and expertise, ensuring we reach, educate, and communicate clearly with our customers.

In this varied role you will:

Work with business stakeholders to understand ‘pain points’ and address communication gaps
Create data-driven marketing solutions across a wide range of tax topics
Contribute to direct marketing and advertising campaigns as needed
Respond to customer comments on social media
Escalate any concerns raised by customers on social media.

To be successful in this position you will

Be a savvy marketing expert with: Have experience running campaigns across key channels. Direct marketing experience is particularly important.
Can work at pace to effectively support the needs of the team
Have strong communication skills and can adapt tone to reflect the audience
Enjoy building relationships and collaborating with people to get things done
Drive for continuous improvement and innovative engagement
A relevant marketing qualification is desirable.
