Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital
As a member of the divisional Learning and Development team, responsible for the delivery, assessment and evaluation of Learning and Development programs and activities that reflect best practice standards to achieve excellence in service.
We are currently seeking a Clinical Educator to support our DPU clinical area.
The Position
Works collaboratively with Department Managers and relevant stakeholders.
In collaboration with the L&D Coordinators identifies educational needs through a variety of means (i.e. needs assessment framework) that are aligned with strategic and operational planning, risk management strategy and organisational and local policy.
Uses adult learning principles when facilitating learning.
Delivers, assesses and evaluates local learning impact of programs in accordance with standardised models to ensure that outcomes are achieved.
Provides mentoring, coaching and support to caregivers through experiential learning and assists other members of the team to undertake the same. Participate in student supervision (undergraduate and postgraduate) as directed
Collaborates with a range of health professionals to promote a multi-disciplinary approach to learning.
Promotes a positive and inclusive workplace learning environment facilitating programs and activities using blended a learning approach.
Assists with orientation/induction as required.
Acts as a mentor/support/role model to all caregivers promoting best practice principles
Provide evidence of completed Learning and Development activities as per the evaluation framework to the Learning and Development Coordinator to ensure record keeping requirements are met.
You will currently be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and have well-developed interpersonal, communication and mentoring/coaching skills with the ability to engage with a diverse workforce. You will also have knowledge of quality improvement and relevant Accreditation and licensing processes and associated links to learning and development programs that promote quality service delivery and safety.
To succeed in this role you will have well-developed time management and organisational skills, an understanding and demonstrated application of adult learning principles and effective conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills. It is also essential that you have working knowledge of Learning Management Systems and blended learning strategies.

We can offer you
Salary Range: $100,858 - 107,722 (Pro rate for part time), plus 11.5% superannuation
Permanent part-time positions working 8 hours per week (0.2 FTE)
