Job title: Electronic Monitoring Video Analyst
Role type: Permanent Part-Time, 32 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Location: Nelson
General Salary Range Band G: $67,658 - $78,771 per annum, pro-rated for part-time hours
About the Role - Korero mo te Turanga
An important role, as an Electronic Monitoring Video Analyst (EMVA) you provide support to and are part of the audit process of fishing industry practices. EMVAs assist with verification services for Fisheries New Zealand, Fisheries Compliance, and the Department of Conservation by reviewing video footage from commercial fishing vessels and annotating the activities observed.
About You - Mou
We need people who have strong attention to detail, with the proven ability to work efficiently and diligently and who can follow processes with minimal supervision. You must be able to build and maintain successful working relationships and have the drive to meet deadlines, along with a natural interest in continuous improvement.
Ideally you will have a working knowledge of inshore commercial fishing operations and you will enjoy working in a high performing collaborative team environment.

About the Team - Mo to matou Ropu
In this role you'll be working with a team of 5-6 other Electronic Monitoring Video Analysts. You'll get to work with intelligent and passionate people with diverse backgrounds and skill sets across Fisheries New Zealand and MPI, a range of other NZ Government agencies, Tangata Whenua, and industry bodies.
This role does require that you work in the MPI Nelson office.
