Job description
Position: Assistant Manager / Manager - Legal
Key Responsibilities:
• Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, compliance, contracts, and disputes.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure they are legally sound and aligned with company policies.
• Compliance: Ensure the company's operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Conduct regular audits and implement necessary changes.
• Litigation Management: Oversee and manage legal disputes and litigation matters. Liaise with external legal counsel as needed and ensure effective representation in legal proceedings.
• Policy Development: Develop and update company policies and procedures to ensure they meet legal requirements and best practices.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess potential legal risks and provide strategies to mitigate them. Advise senior management on legal implications of business decisions.
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: LLB or LLM from a recognized institution.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate law, regulations, and legal procedures.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
