About the Role
Our Emergency Department (ED) Clerical team is looking for a part-time Emergency Clerk to join us at the front line of patient care. We have 0.7 FTE positions available (28 hours/week) with flexible, rotating shifts across a 24/7 schedule — so adaptability is key!
The working shifts for this role are:
Day 0730-1600 hours
Evening 1530-2400 hours
Night 2330-0800 hours
This position’s primary function is to ensure the timely registration of patients who present to the Emergency Care department. You’ll also provide administrative support to the Clinical team as requested.
About You
You’ll be working alongside a very diverse team of health care extraordinaries in the busiest Emergency Department in Australasia! It’s a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to be prepared to pull on your roller-skates while using your “can do positive attitude”.
What you’ll bring to the team:
2–3 years of customer service experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong computer and administrative skills
Calm under pressure and deadline-focused
Healthcare experience is a bonus (but full training will be provided!)
