The events supervisor is responsible for staff, ensuring banquet operations run smoothly, and prioritizing the comfort and safety of guests

Review and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and Event Plans
Attend weekly BEO meetings
Shift schedule and manage employees and timetables
Train staff on serving etiquette
Ensure banquet courses are served on time
Tend to guests' requests, questions, and issues
Ensure the venue and facilities remain neat and clean
Ensure safety regulations are communicated and adhered to
Food & Beverage Manager, Food and Beverage Director, General Manager
Days and hours of work vary by schedule and business needs
Evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand for long periods of time, may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Job description
Location: East Norwich

Job Purpose

The events supervisor supervises and manages banquet events. The events supervisor is responsible for staff, ensuring banquet operations run smoothly, and prioritizing the comfort and safety of guests.

A successful event supervisor has strong leadership and interpersonal skills, manages multiple streams of information and fosters positive client relationships.

Responsibilities
• Review and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and Event Plans
• Attend weekly BEO meetings
• Shift schedule and manage employees and timetables
• Train staff on serving etiquette
• Ensure banquet courses are served on time
• Tend to guests' requests, questions, and issues
• Ensure the venue and facilities remain neat and clean

Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the Hospitality industry with a preferred focus on catering/banquets
• Ability to communicate effectively with members, guests, co-workers, and management
• Strong customer service skills and able to resolve customer issues

Reports To
• Food & Beverage Manager, Food and Beverage Director, General Manager

Education
• High School diploma required
