Your Impact
We are seeking a highly capable and professional Executive Assistant bilingual in Japanese and English to provide dedicated support to the Chief Inter-Group Alliance Officer. You will have a critical role in facilitating seamless communication with local management teams, and the broader Executive Leadership Team. The successful candidate will possess native-level Japanese and fluent English skills, with proven experience in executive support, business interpretation, and document translation.
This is a 2-year fixed term contract
Your key accountabilities:
Provide comprehensive executive assistance to the Chief Inter-Group Alliance Officer, including calendar and email management, meeting and team event arrangements, travel coordination, expense reporting, and document approvals
Deliver high-level interpreting services during internal and external meetings involving Japanese and English speakers
Translate Japanese and English business documents, including reports with complex financial or technical content
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes
Accompany the Executive on interstate business trips to provide on-site language support
Ensure timely and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity
About you
Native-level proficiency in Japanese and fluent proficiency in English (written and verbal)
Significant experience providing executive-level support in a corporate or professional environment
Strong interpreting and translation skills, with an ability to convey nuanced business and technical language accurately
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced setting
A high level of cultural awareness and the ability to navigate both Japanese and Australian business contexts effectively
Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills
