About the role:
We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance function, partnering closely with the CEO and department heads to provide high-quality reporting, insights, and operational support.
This is a hands-on, varied role overseeing the day-to-day financial operations and leading a small finance team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across all financial processes.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver accurate monthly management reports and financial statements
Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow analysis
Ensure timely completion of BAS, IAS, FBT and Payroll Tax returns
Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee balance sheet reconciliations
Supervise payroll, billing, creditors and debtors
Provide commercial insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making
Support systems and process improvements across the finance function
Lead, develop and support your small team, fostering a high-performance culture
About you:
CPA or CA qualified with 3–4+ years’ experience in a commercial or professional services environment
Proven experience in budgeting, reporting, and tax compliance
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Highly organised with great attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
Experience using MYOB, APS (or similar practice management systems), and advanced Excel skills
A team player who leads with integrity and supports others to succeed
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $125,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
