About the role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Forester – Operations Scheduling and Support to join our Forest Operations team. Reporting to the Forest Operations Manager and working closely with the Operations Scheduler, you’ll play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of engineering and harvest schedules. Your efforts will contribute to the smooth delivery of our supply chain operations, while also assisting with administrative tasks and project work across the Operations team.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the development of operational forecasts and scenario planning
Supporting the execution of production plans
Ensuring compliance with legal, statutory, FSC, safety, and environmental requirements
Providing analytical and technical support for business improvement initiatives
Helping to maintain a harvesting and engineering capacity plan aligned with monthly production targets and the Sales and Operations Plan
Coordinating and communicating scheduling requirements with relevant stakeholders
Working on Technology and Innovation projects as part of Pan Pac’s precision forestry programme
Assist with the collection and analysis of pre harvest inventory
Delivering general administrative support to the Operations team

About you
You hold a relevant tertiary degree or are in your final year of study. You also bring the following skills and attributes:
Exposure to forest inventory management tools and GIS would be an advantage
A passion for the Forestry industry
Strong excel skills
Proven analytical and time management skills
Strong planning and organisational abilities, with the capacity to multitask and deliver on commitments
Proven track record of working independently, meeting deadlines without supervision
A methodical, logical approach with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain high energy and composure under pressure
