Global Engineering Head

To create and foster a quality conscious environment for delivering right first-time culture by –
• Leading and managing the engineering function on a global scale with seasoned professional with a strong background in engineering, manufacturing, and project management.
• Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of engineering strategies to ensure the company's continued success in the highly competitive pharmaceutical capsule manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

Strategy Planning
• Develop and execute a global engineering strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering initiatives with production, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Functional

Technology and Innovation:
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in capsule manufacturing.
• Drive innovation in engineering processes, machinery, and automation to enhance efficiency and quality.

Project Management:
• Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.

Job Description
• Implement project management best practices and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Collaborate with quality and regulatory teams to ensure engineering practices comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high product standards.

Cost Management:
• Develop and manage budgets for engineering projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiency improvements.

Internal Processes:

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and other departments to integrate quality and regulatory requirements into all processes.
• Act as a liaison between regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and implementing best practices.
• Lead and champion initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Apply quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma and Lean principles, to drive process improvements and eliminate waste.
• Data Analytics for quality data, including customer feedback, non-conformances, and process performance indicators, to identify improvement opportunities.

People Development
• Lead and inspire a global team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to the engineering teams across different locations.

Qualifications
• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) with 15+years experience from FMCG, Beverages, Chemical, Food Processing or Pharma Industries, handling strategic role with multiple manufacturing plants in India and abroad
