The Opportunity:
Apply for this exciting role as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to be involved with the ongoing quality assurance for the delivery of a range of innovative solutions being developed that are focused on digital-twin technology.
Ideally candidates will have familiarity with the Government Digital Services (GDS / GOV-UK) platform and demonstrable experience consulting with the required technologies detailed below.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
Performance Testing: JMeter, BlazeMeter
Cross-device Testing: BrowserStack
Programming Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript
BDD: Cucumber/Gherkin
Accessibility: WAVE, pa11y
Security: OWASP ZAP / Dependency Check
Browser Test Automation: Cypress, Selenium
Browser Developer Tools: Lighthouse, JavaScript debug console
API Testing: Knowledge of RESTful APIs and proficiency in using tools like Postman or Newman to validate data integrity
Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version control and collaboration
Desirable:
GOV-UK Design System: Familiarity working with the GOV-UK Design System and assuring compliance with design patterns
CI/CD: Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines for executing automated tests
