Primary objective
Provide guidance to ensure efficient and compliant grant management by overseeing all aspects of grant administration, financial activities,
and record-keeping processes. This includes managing system administration functions, ensuring compliance and quality assurance, and
delivering guidance and training to staff on the use of the NTG grants management system, GrantsNT, while driving continuous process
improvement.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage grant databases and systems to ensure accurate and reliable tracking of NT Health grant administration processes.
2. Support unit operations by maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records and ensuring system functionality.
3. Undertake system administration functions for the NTG grants management system and provide guidance to grant program managers.
4. Deliver training programs to familiarise staff with grant management systems, policies, processes, and delegations.
5. Process financial transactions, including grant payments and returned funds.
6. Manage and maintain records of grant agreements and related documentation in line with record-keeping standards.
7. Oversee the timely and accurate management of financial activities related to grants, ensuring compliance with the NTG Financial
Management Framework and departmental delegations.
8. Adhere to defined service quality standards and work health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe, high-quality working
environment.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. High-level knowledge of policies and practices related to grants and contracts, including financial accountabilities associated with
funding agreement management.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to financial detail and sound knowledge of relevant policy frameworks.
3. Highly developed communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a broad range of
stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality client service, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines,
and work independently.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience using electronic record management systems.
Desirable
1. Demonstrated experience with GrantsNT, the Government Accounting System, and standard IT applications (e.g. Microsoft Office
suite).
2. Diploma or Certificate IV in Business or equivalent.
