Job Title: Graphic Designer
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a sole Graphic Designer in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where creativity and precision come together to deliver impactful brand solutions.
You will have the chance to work on a variety of engaging projects with a diverse client base, meeting and liaising with clients to understand their requirements and objectives.
The Role
As the sole Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for designing a wide range of creative collateral, ensuring every project is print-ready and visually compelling.
You will thrive in both high-speed turnarounds and conceptual projects, balancing creative freedom with precision to meet client objectives.
Develop original concepts and design solutions for marketing campaigns.
Bring fresh ideas and creative flair to every project.
Ensure all designs are visually impactful and aligned with client needs.
You will work closely with the team to understand client requirements and objectives, professionally interacting with clients and suppliers via phone, email, and in person.
Maintain and uphold brand guidelines across all designs, proof and approve final files pre- and post-production, and oversee projects from concept to completion.
Industry Awareness
Stay ahead of design trends, software advancements, and best practices.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in graphic design and prepress within a creative studio, agency, or print production environment.
Key skills include:
Creativity: Ability to think outside the box and bring concepts to life.
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Typography & Layout: Understanding of fonts and the ability to use them effectively.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for ensuring designs are pixel-perfect and brand-aligned.
Communication Skills: Ability to articulate design ideas clearly and collaborate with team members and clients.
Time Management: Skilled at handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines efficiently.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on design trends.
A strong portfolio showcasing diverse creative work across print, digital, and web is essential.
Please note that you must be based in NZ with a NZ Work Visa to be considered for this role.
