About The RoleWe are looking for an experienced and talented Graphic Designer to co-design and manage the production of yardage prints for use across our product ranges. Reporting to our Head of Creative (HOC) and working intimately with our Product Developer, the Graphic Designer provides design-oriented operational support to ensure workflow processes run seamlessly. When required, iIlustration and sketching of garments and products will also form part of this role.
Responsibilities Include
Overseeing the management of print designs across ELK range
Design and development of purchased or original assets for seasonal prints
Making recommendations for application and adaptation of designs
Executing repeat yardages and file prep for production
Liaising with suppliers ensuring effective handover and delivery of quality outcomes
Efficient and accurate use of PLM tool
Ownership and management of asset library including digital files and physical strike offs
Working in line with critical paths and meeting key timelines
Approving strike offs, looms or knit downs in collaboration with HOC
Diligent tracking of print development process from strike off to bulk production
Assisting with graphic design requirements for new season planning and updating range boards
Creating detailed illustrations and sketches of garments and products
Supporting Product Developer and Design department with design-oriented administrative tasks
Continually evaluating and refining processes to improving efficiencies and effectiveness
Competently utilising Design software including Adobe Creative Suite (advanced Photoshop and Illustrator)
Embracing new technology and actively sharing knowledge and expertise with the broader team for continued development
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and external partners
Fostering collaborative, supportive, and creative team culture that encourages innovation and growth

You pride yourself of your standard of work, attention to detail and thrive when working to tight deadlines. You are highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and the master of Photoshop.

WHO ARE YOU?
You Are a Perfect Match With
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a well aligned role (Fashion Apparel)
Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design (or similar)
Keen sense of colour and ability to interpret designs that align with the ELK aesthetic
Exposure to garment construction, fabrications, trims and apparel manufacturing a bonus
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (advanced Photoshop and Illustrator) with superior hand drawing skills (desired)
Competent navigating PLM system (WMX highly desired)
Exceptional prioritisation, attention to detail and ability to work to critical deadlines
Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively (verbally, written and visually)
Committed to working collaboratively and actively offer support where opportunity arises
Proficient in creative problem solving and design development
Committed to a considered creative process to produce a high standard of design and brand consistency
Comfortable navigating change and willing to pivot to meet requirements
Commercially creative and passionate about sustainable and circular fashion
