What are we building?
Hard Rock Digital is a team focused on becoming the best online sportsbook, casino, and social gaming company in the world. We’re building a team that resonates passion for learning, operating, and building new products and technologies for millions of consumers. We care about each customer interaction, experience, behavior, and insight and strive to ensure we’re always acting authentically.
Rooted in the kindred spirits of Hard Rock and the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the new Hard Rock Digital taps a brand known the world over as the leader in gaming, entertainment, and hospitality. We’re taking that foundation of success and bringing it to the digital space — ready to join us?
What’s the position?
The Growth Frontend Developer (Frontend Performance Developer) will help own the technical backbone of Hard Rock Digital’s marketing website and landing-page ecosystem. Sitting at the intersection of engineering and growth, you’ll architect, build, and continually optimize user journeys that turn curious visitors into loyal players—while powering our affiliate and paid-media funnels at scale. With a laser focus on conversion-rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing, performance, and SEO, you will partner with the Senior Marketing Developer, Marketing, Design, Analytics, and Affiliate teams to ship high-impact experiments, iterate rapidly, and deliver measurable uplift to acquisition KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conversion-First Web Engineering: Own the front-end codebase (WordPress, WPBakery) for hardrock.bet and affiliated microsites; build, refactor, and modularize landing pages with performance budgets (< 1.5 s LCP) and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility baked in.
Experimentation & A/B Testing: Design and implement A/B, multivariate, and hold-out tests using Optimizely, VWO, or an in-house framework; instrument event tracking (GA4, Mixpanel, Segment) and ensure statistically sound test setups.
Affiliate & Paid-Media Support: Develop dynamic landing-page templates that ingest affiliate parameters, promo codes, and localized content; maintain tracking pixels/postbacks (Impact, Partnerize, Google Ads) with pristine data integrity.
SEO & Site Performance: Implement technical SEO best practices (structured data, hreflang, meta tags) and own Core Web Vitals; collaborate with Content and Casino teams to ensure pages index and rank quickly.
Analytics & Insight Generation: Build dashboards that surface experiment results, funnel drop-offs, and LTV impact; translate data insights into next-step hypotheses and roadmap recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Designers, Copywriters, and Product Managers to scope experiments; educate non-technical stakeholders on CRO methodologies and web-performance trade-offs
What are we looking for?
2–5 years of modern front-end development (WordPress).
Proven record of shipping A/B-tested landing pages that move CVR, CPA, or ROAS metrics.
Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
Hands-on experience with testing platforms (Optimizely, Google Optimize, VWO) and analytics/ETL tools (GA4, Mixpanel, Segment, Looker).
Comfort with SEO fundamentals (server-side rendering, sitemap automation, schema markup).
Familiarity with affiliate tracking concepts—UTM hygiene, sub-IDs, CAP & REV-share pixel logic.
WPEngine workflow and PHP WordPress knowledge a plus.
Data-driven mindset—comfortable running statistical significance checks and interpreting experiment output.
Strong communication skills: able to translate technical constraints into plain-language trade-offs.
Passion for rapid iteration and a bias toward measurable impact; gaming or regulated-industry exposure is a plus.
